Awakening and meditation in Doha
Breath, stillness and energy training to feel more present, calm and aware, for adults of any age in Qatar. Guided by Sensei Najmal Ibrahim, Reiki Level 3 and tai chi and qigong expert.
Awakening starts with the breath
Most of the day we run on autopilot. Awakening is the practice of coming back: noticing the breath, feeling the body, and meeting each moment with a clear, calm mind.
At Chi Club, awakening is trained the way martial artists have always trained it: through breathing, meditation, qigong energy work and slow, mindful movement. It is practical and down to earth, open to people of every background and belief.
The aim is simple: to feel more present, calm and aware in daily life, at any age.

What does awakening mean at Chi Club?
Awakening means becoming more present and aware: of your breath, your body, your energy and the world around you. We train it through meditation, breath work, qigong and mindful movement.
Is it religious?
No. The practice is open to people of all beliefs. It is practical training in breathing, stillness and attention, drawn from the martial arts.
Do I need meditation experience?
No. Every session is guided step by step, and beginners are welcome at any age.
What happens in a session?
A typical session moves from gentle qigong and breathing into seated or kneeling meditation, then slow mindful movement, and ends with quiet stillness. Some sessions include Reiki.
How is this connected to martial arts?
Martial artists train zanshin, calm alert awareness. The same awareness helps you stay calm under pressure and notice what is happening around you, which is also the first skill of self-defence.
