Self-defence classes in Doha

Practical self-defence for teens, women and adults, taught by Sensei Najmal Ibrahim: 6th Dan karate, certified Systema coach and specialist in self-defence.

Real skills for real situations

Most people never need to fight, but everyone deserves to feel safe walking to the car, travelling or at work. Our self-defence classes in Qatar teach you to notice danger early, avoid it, and protect yourself if you have to.

Training draws on the most practical parts of karate, Systema and aikido: relaxed movement, breathing under stress, escapes and simple strikes. You train with a partner in a friendly, controlled class, and build the confidence that changes how you carry yourself every day.

Self-defence questions

Anything else? Message us on WhatsApp.

Who are the self-defence classes for?

Teens, women and adults of any fitness level. No martial arts experience is needed.

Do you have self-defence classes for women in Doha?

Yes. Women are welcome in all our self-defence classes, and we also run ladies-only karate and self-defence sessions. Message us for the current day and location.

What will I learn?

Situational awareness, keeping a safe distance, voice and posture, escaping wrist and clothing grabs, protecting yourself on the ground, and simple strikes that work under stress.

Is it safe for beginners?

Yes. Drills build up gradually with a partner, and you learn to fall and move safely before any pressure is added.

How is this different from karate?

Self-defence focuses only on real situations, without forms or competition rules. It draws on karate, Systema and aikido, and many students combine it with one of those arts.

Can children learn self-defence?

Yes. Children learn age-appropriate self-defence inside our kids karate classes. See karate.qa for kids karate in Doha.
